New California
Media's
EXPO and Awards 2002
September 17-18, 2002
Beverly Hilton Hotel,
Beverly Hills, California
New California Media
(NCM) EXPO & Awards 2002 is the
only statewide gathering of ethnic news organizations in the country.
Hosted by America's most diverse media network, the EXPO, with an
estimated 2,000 attendees and exhibitors, will showcase a Who's
Who of ethnic media together with advertisers, multicultural marketers,
ad agency and PR executives, mainstream media representatives, civic
officials and nonprofit directors.
Workshops include the
latest data documenting the explosive growth of ethnic media; why
California is now the epicenter of this increasingly influential
segment of American journalism; how to leverage ethnic media's power
to pitch consumers, court voters, educate audiences; and how ethnic
media -- from Al Jazeerah TV to the Sing Tao Daily, La Opinion and
The Sentinel -- has covered the post 9/11 story.
The NCM Awards Banquet,
the evening before, celebrates winners of the only multi-lingual
media awards.
